Click here to see a map showing the location of DHFC!.
DHFC is marked by the red pointer and is very easy to find. It is right next to Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill, a little way up the hill from East Dulwich Station.
If you are on foot, you can cut through the little park. However the park is unlit (and usually locked) at night, so if it is dark you may need to walk a little further and turn left at Edgar Kail Way, which is the road leading to Sainsbury's. Walking through the park will bring you out on this road.
The directions now assume that you are walking (or driving) up Edgar Kail Way. Instead of bearing right to go into Sainsbury's carpark, go straight on and you will see DHFC in front of you.
The DHFC carpark is a little way down the road to your left, next to the carwash. The Sainsbury's carpark is officially for customers only and has a limit of 2 hours, with a fine if you overstay. We think it is unlikely that you would be fined on a Friday night, but you use this carpark at your own risk!
Sadly you are no longer able to park in the carpark immediately outside DHFC (now reserved for Sainsbury's staff) although if you are disabled there are two disabled parking spaces which you may use.
If you have mobility problems, please note that there is full access to Goose gigs at DHFC.
If you need to phone DHFC, the number is 020 7274 8707.
DHFC does not provide food (apart from bar snacks). However there are many restaurants and takeaways in Lordship Lane, and a large Sainsbury's next door. You are welcome to bring cold food into the venue, but please do not bring hot food in (as the smell is likely to disturb other people), thanks!

The Mag is also very easy to find. Please note that the pub was formerly called the Magnolia (and before that it was The Magdala) but now appears to be known just as The Mag!
Click here to see a map showing the location of the Mag!.
It is the pub painted dark grey on Lordship Lane at the corner of Pellatt Road. This is actually slightly further up Lordship Lane than the arrow is pointing on the map. If you are coming from the Goose Green end of Lordship Lane, Pellatt Road is the road on the left after the Police Station (which is on the corner of Whateley Road).
If you have mobility problems, please note that this room is upstairs and unfortunately there is no lift or ramp.
If you need to phone The Mag, the number is 0208 299 4116. However please note that they will probably not be able to give you any information about The Goose.
Click here to go to the Mag's website.
The Mag provides excellent food in a mid-price range, which you can eat either downstairs or upstairs. If you need something cheaper, there are many restaurants and takeaways in Lordship Lane.

Parking is easy (and unrestricted) in DHFC carpark (please note that this is NOT the carpark immediately outside the DHFC entrance, which is now for Sainsbury's staff, but is the larger one signposted DHFC).. You park in Sainsbury's carpark at your own risk (see above) as there is a two hour limit.
There is unrestricted parking in the streets around The Mag and The Ivy House.
back to topEast Dulwich Station is a five minute walk from DHFC. The Mag is a bit further, maybe around fifteen minutes depending on how fast you walk! The Ivy House is further away, and if you are coming to East Dulwich Station you may prefer to get a 484 from Goose Green rather than walk.
For DHFC, turn left out of the station and carry on till you come to a park entrance on the left. You can cut through the park, but it is locked at dusk, so if it is dark you will need to walk a little further and turn left at Edgar Kail Way, which is the road leading to Sainsbury's. Walking through the park will bring you out on this road.
The directions now assume that you are walking up Edgar Kail Way. Instead of bearing right to go into Sainsbury's carpark, go straight on and you will see DHFC in front of you.
Don't turn sharp left or you will end up somewhere else completely!
For The Mag, turn right out of the station and continue until you see Goose Green on your left. Turn right and walk up Lordship Lane (the road with all the shops and restaurants). At some point you will need to cross over. Continue walking up Lordship Lane - you will come to North Cross Road on the left, with The Palmerston pub on the corner. Carry on up Lordship Lane, past Whateley Road and the police station on the left. The Mag is at the next junction, on the corner of Pellatt Road.

back to topDHFC is also easily reached from Peckham Rye Station, which has trains to Victoria and Blackfriars, as well as London Bridge.
This station is about a twenty minute walk from DHFC, more to The Mag - depending on your walking speed of course!
If you don't know the area you will probably find it easiest to look at an A-Z or internet map to see the quickest route from the station.
back to topYou can also go to Denmark Hill Station. For DHFC you can then walk or get a bus (40,176, 185, 484) and get off at Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill. For The Mag get a 40, 176 or 185 and get off at the Police Station on Lordship Lane. For The Ivy House get a 484 to Stuart Road.

For DHFC get off at the first stop in Lordship Lane and walk down to the Goose Green roundabout. DHFC is a short walk from here - walk along Grove Vale till you come to East Dulwich station, and then see the directions above.
For The Mag also get off at this stop, but walk up Lordship Lane until you reach Pellatt Road on the left (you will see The Mag on the corner of Pellatt Road).
For The Ivy House, get off the 37 at Peckham Rye common and you can cut across the common or walk round it to get to Stuart Road (probably best to consult an A-Z or other map for the route if you don't know the area).
back to topFor The Mag, you can get the 40, 176 (24 hour - see below) or 185 to Lordship Lane (get off at the Police Station, which is a request stop), or the 37 or P13 (see below). You can also get the 484 to Goose Green roundabout, and walk up Lordship Lane from there.
40, 176 (24 hour - see below), 185, 484 all go down Dog Kennel Hill. Get off at Sainsbury's, then walk towards Sainsbury's (for DHFC) and follow the directions at the top of the page.
In addition, the 37 goes to Goose Green roundabout, which is a short walk from DHFC and about a ten minute walk from The Mag.
The P13 runs from Streatham and Streatham Hill Stations, and also in the other direction from New Cross Gate Sainsbury's (for New Cross Gate Station). At the Goose end, it goes into Sainsbury's (for DHFC), and down Whateley Road (for The Mag) - just turn left up Lordship Lane and The Mag is on the next corner (of Pellatt Road). The P13 also stops at both East Dulwich and Peckham Rye stations. However, it only runs every 30 minutes, so unless you have mobility problems, if you are picking it up at East Dulwich or Peckham Rye station, it may well be quicker to walk to the venues!
