About the event

Three great headliners tonight, all excellent and all very different!

In alphabetical order ......

 Alan Glen &  Dave Peabody are both veterans of the British blues scene. Dave has been voted ‘Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year’ 3 times by the British Blues Connection and Blues In Britain magazine and has played with many of the greats. Alan Glen is known for his playing with The Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero and Little Axe, plus his own band The Barcodes. He was first inspired to take up harmonica when he saw Muddy Waters in the late 60s.

Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke started playing folk, roots and blues venues in the late 70s.They are exciting and compelling performers and songwriters,  with a strong following on the roots music scene. Fran and Mike have spent many years honing their craft,  and have developed a unique take on roots music and an amazing empathy on stage.

Simon Prager & Wendy Lanchin  play an exciting mixture of acoustic music from country blues to ragtime, jazz, skiffle, swing and novelty songs. Simon has been involved in the British blues scene since the 60s,  and Wendy came to folk and blues via cabaret and musical theatre.

At The Ivy House, London’s first community-owned pub.

Tickets are £12 advance, £14 on the door (cash or BACS only) 

Door 7pm. Live music starts 8pm and finishes 11pm.

This concert will be half seated, half standing, so come early if you want to be sure of a seat!

Please be aware that whilst our events are held in The Ivy House's  beautiful Grade 2 listed ballroom, this is a pub, so there may be some  background noise from adjoining bars, although we and the pub management  have done our best to minimise this.
